Lulu Costume from Anime North 2005
Character is from FFX
Costume construction took about 5 months to complete.
Boned corset made from silk and canvas; dress is pvc and painted with acrylics; fur is faux; underskirt made from 24 individual faux leather belts sewn together in a weave. Necklaces and hair accessories made with Scupley, wire and assorted beads.
urr... well, it just takes a lot of time to do all the beads, otherwise its not that hard. the skirt is the easiest part, the belts are on their own and are hanging from a belt around my waist under the pvc skirt. the belts are all sewn, i suggest glueing them together first so they are easier to deal with.
Wow, I wasn't much of a Lulu fan having played FFX but that's an amazing job on the costume, the belts and buckles must weigh a tonne trying to move around though. A real labour of love with the attention to detail that's gone into it.
-- I have an innocent mind... or at least, nobodies proven it guilty yet.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
